CHILLIWACK SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL VISIT

Recently, Mason's Trains had the pleasure of hosting a field trip for Mr. Lemna's Grade 10 English class from Chilliwack Senior Secondary School.

Always fun and educational, Mr. Lemna's field trips offer his students new experiences, and opportunities to learn various career-specific vocabularies.

The classes were divided into four groups of 20 - 25 students, and each group arrived at regular intervals. Approximately 80 students visited us that day!

Mr. Lemna arranged a system that permitted everyone a short, but informative visit to each area of our facilities.

Elva greeted the students in the retail store, Lance and Bob were in charge of the machine shop, and assembly room.

At the end of the tour, Howie Mason gave each group an exciting ride on our new railway, with our 4-6-4 Hudson performing the train runs admirably.

Although it was a busy day for us, we thoroughly enjoyed meeting these polite and attentive students, and were impressed with their bright and pertinent questions.

Our hope is that they too enjoyed their day at Mason's Trains, and learned about the fascinating world of live steam trains.

Our thanks to Mr. Lemna and his students for a great experience, and we hope to see everyone again soon!
